Press release writing and distribution

They search your name before they call. Decide what they find.

We write your announcement and you approve every word. Then we distribute it through major newswires and a national local-news network, and hand you a report with every live placement archived the day it publishes. Syndicated pages come down over time. Your proof does not.

You won Best of the City, and today that fact lives on a plaque in your lobby. A published story is the version you can hand to the customer comparing three bids.

Who this is for

You have more news than you think.

Most owners sit on stories worth putting on the record, because nobody ever told them it counts. It counts.

The dental practice.

Patients research a dentist before they ever call. A release about the technology you brought to town, the one no other practice nearby offers, goes on the record under your practice’s name and published across local news sites, so the patient comparing three practices at ten at night finds yours on the record.

The family restaurant.

Your second location opens next month, and an opening is news exactly once. A release marks the moment while it is still a story, and the announcement stays on the record long after the ribbon is cut.

The roofing company.

You won Best of the City, and today that fact lives on a plaque in the lobby. A release makes the win a published story, one you can hand to the customer comparing three bids.

The pest control company.

Your crew in Dallas raised money for a charity you care about, and no reporter is coming to find that story on their own. A release tells it: your customers see who they are actually hiring, and the charity gets a published story it can share.

A launch, a hire, a milestone, an award, a cause. If it happened at your business and your customers would care, it qualifies.

How it works

From “we have news” to published, in four steps.

1

You tell us the news

A ten-minute intake: what happened, why it matters, who said what. You do not have to know whether it counts as news. Tell us what happened at your business and we will tell you what qualifies.

2

We write it, you approve every word

A draft comes back for your edits, not for your signature on somebody else’s paragraph. Change anything you want. A human editor reads it, and nothing moves until you approve the final text.

3

We distribute it

Through major newswires and a national network of local news sites, matched to the package you chose. Every placement is subject to each outlet’s editorial guidelines. We pre-check your release against them before it goes anywhere.

4

You get proof

A report with every live placement, indexed placements marked, and screenshots archived at delivery. Placements rot over time. Your proof should not.

The truth

Read this before you buy PR, from us or anyone.

The press-release industry runs on words that mean less than they sound. Here is what the words actually mean, and the question to ask any vendor who uses them, including us.

“Distributed” is not “featured.”

Featured means an editor chose your story. Distribution means your announcement was published through syndication. The claim ends up being yours: put “featured in Forbes” on your website when it is not true, and you are the one your customers catch.

Ask any vendor: is this distribution or did an editor choose it? Then ask them to write the answer down.

Nobody can promise an outlet.

Every placement is subject to editorial guidelines: content rules, category restrictions, review. If a vendor guarantees you a named outlet, walk.

Ask any vendor: put the guarantee and the refund in the same sentence, in writing. Nobody will, because no vendor controls an editor’s decision. What you should get in writing instead is what happens if it does not run.

Wire links are not an SEO backlink scheme.

Somebody will pitch you press releases as an SEO play: “authority backlinks” that raise your Google rank. Google discounted those links years ago. What wire distribution reliably does is different: it gets your announcement indexed in Google and Bing, and Bing’s index is what ChatGPT search draws on.

Ask any vendor: which of your own clients’ rankings moved, and when. Then ask whether the links are follow links. The wire’s own terms answer that, and the answer is no.

No one can promise an “AI ranking.”

AI assistants do read wire and syndicated pages when they answer questions about companies. That part is real, and it is why the writing matters. But ask an assistant the same question twice and you can get two different answers. So we sample what assistants say about your business over time and report what changed.

Ask any vendor: are you promising a position, or measuring one. Anyone promising a position is selling you a coin flip.

Placements rot.

Syndicated pages get taken down over weeks and months. On our own most recent release, one placement listed in the wire’s own report was dead inside a day. That is why every ScoreLabs report archives your placements, live links and screenshots, the day they publish. Your proof stays even when links do not.

Ask any vendor: what do I still have in a year, when the links are gone.

Reach numbers are theater.

“Reaching 350 million readers” means a syndication network’s combined traffic statistics, not people who saw your story.

Ask any vendor: is that people who saw my story, or the combined traffic statistics of a network. It is always the second one. Ask instead for the list of URLs where it published, and ask when you get it.

After you publish, your inbox becomes the product.

Wires are public and scrapers are fast. Within a day of a release going out, the pitches start: cheaper distribution, and writers who say they saw your news and would like to feature you. The second kind normally has a price, a working link to your site is often an extra, and some of them will tell you in writing that it is not sponsored content.

Ask any vendor: is there a fee, and will the piece disclose it. Then decide whether you are comfortable calling the result press. Here is the guide we send every client, and you can forward anything you are unsure about to us even if you never buy from us.

As seen on

Want to see these logos on your website?

The As seen on strip on primare.ai, showing the NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, Yahoo Finance, Business Insider, TheStreet and Digital Journal logos.

This strip is on primare.ai today. It came from one release on September 17, 2026. Primare AI shares a founder with ScoreLabs, and it went first so you would have something real to look at. Every logo is backed by a placement we archived and screenshotted at delivery, and you get the same proof file with yours. The network logos come from their local affiliate stations. Which outlets carry your release is up to each outlet’s editorial guidelines, so we show you what happened, never what will.

The program

The Newsroom

$497 a month, billed yearly

The cheapest way to buy a release, and the only way to buy a year of them.

One National release costs $797 on its own. Inside The Newsroom it is $497, and the release is the smallest part of what you get.

Billed yearly: $5,964 up front covers twelve months, one release a month.

Start The Newsroom, $497 a month
  • One National-class wire release every month, written by us, approved by you, distributed on the wire
  • A standing newsroom page under your own name, where every announcement you have ever made lives in one place
  • A monthly visibility report: what indexed in Google and Bing, plus a sample of what AI assistants say about your business and what moved since last month
  • Your full archive, live links and screenshots, kept as pages come down over the following months
  • Badge artwork and a quarterly sit-down on what you announce next

One announcement is an event. Twelve is a record. The customer who checks you out before they call finds one thing, or they find a year of things, and that is the whole difference.

Every placement on every tier is subject to the receiving outlet’s editorial review. No outlet placement is ever guaranteed, by us or by anyone. Releases that do not clear our pre-check get reworked with you before submission, not submitted to fail.

What we guarantee.

Approve it or it does not run.
We rewrite until you sign off. If you never sign off, you never pay. Full refund any time before distribution begins.
Every line in your report checks out.
Live link and a screenshot archived the day it published. Open any of them. If a placement listed in your report does not check out, we redistribute at no charge or refund the release, your call.

After it publishes

The release is day one. The mileage comes after.

A published record is worth what you do with it, so we do most of it for you.

Show it where buyers decide.

Link your placements on your homepage and in your proposals. Every package includes “As Seen On” badge rights, and we supply the artwork, sized for web and print. A published record customers can check beats one more claim they cannot.

We write the follow-through for you.

Your announcement comes back with the email to your list and the social post already written from it, so the story reaches the people who already know you on the day it publishes. One release works for months.

Win the customer who checks you out.

Before anyone spends real money with you, they search your name. A release puts your version of the story in the index they are searching: Google and Bing, where answer engines look too.

Let the record invite press.

Reporters look you up before they write about you, and a record of published announcements makes you checkable. Nobody can promise you a reporter’s attention. You control whether there is anything to find when one comes looking.

Most businesses have news about four times a year. If you would rather not think about it again, The Newsroom is the same wire release every month with the monitoring and the planning around it.

How this company runs

Why this costs $297 and not $3,000.

An agency bills you for the hours. We built the systems that remove the hours, and the savings went into the price instead of the margin. What we did not automate is the judgment. A human editor reads every release. You approve every word. Nothing is submitted for distribution by a machine.

Your intake is worked the hour it arrives.

A record opens and drafting starts. It does not sit in an inbox waiting for a business day. The slow part of PR was never the writing, it was the queue, and you do not sit in one.

You approve every word before anything moves.

The draft comes back for your edits, not for your signature on somebody else’s paragraph. Change anything you want. Nothing publishes until you say so.

A person reads it, every time.

A human editor reads every release and checks it against the guidelines of the outlets it is going to, before submission. That gate does not move, on any package, for any reason.

One record, and you can see what is in it.

Your intake, drafts, approvals, schedule and reports live in one place. When your report says what happened, this is where what happened is kept. Not five tools that disagree.

We use software for the drafting and the monitoring, and we say so because you should know who is doing the work. The editing, the approval and the accountability are human.

FAQ

Plain answers.

What is a press release, and why would my customers ever see one?

It is a short, factual announcement about your business, written the way news is written, and published on news sites through a distribution network. Most of your customers will never read it on a news site. They will find it when they search your name before deciding to spend money with you, which is the moment that matters.

What does it cost?

Releases start at $297 for local distribution and $797 for the national wire. The Newsroom, which is a release every month plus the monitoring around it, is $497 a month, billed yearly, which makes each release $300 less than buying one on its own. Writing, your approval, the editorial pre-check, the verified report and badge rights are included at every price.

How long does it take?

Most releases go from intake to distribution within five business days: intake, draft, your approval, editorial pre-check, then distribution. Your verified report follows within days of publication.

What is the refund policy?

Full refund any time before distribution begins. Once a release has been submitted for distribution it cannot be recalled, so refunds are not available after submission. It is in plain language in our terms.

Do you use AI to write the release?

Yes, and we are not going to be coy about it. We trained an agent for exactly one job, writing press releases, and it drafts from your intake. A human editor reads every draft, and nothing is submitted until you approve the final text. The AI is why a release costs $297 instead of a monthly retainer and why your draft comes back in days instead of weeks.

Can you guarantee placement on a specific outlet?

No, and neither can anyone else. Every outlet reviews submissions against its own editorial guidelines. We pre-check your release against those guidelines before submission, and your report shows exactly where it published.

What happens if a release is declined?

We pre-check every release against outlet guidelines before submission, so we do not submit a release we expect to fail. If your draft will not clear the pre-check, we rework it with you until it does, and if distribution never begins, you get a full refund.

What if I do not have any news?

You probably do. A launch, a hire, a milestone, an award, a second location, a cause your crew took up. Tell us what has happened at your business in the last ninety days and we will tell you what qualifies and what does not. That costs you ten minutes and nothing else, whether you buy or not.

Who is behind ScoreLabs?

A family-run business that builds technology and runs services. Every press release our own companies put out goes through ScoreLabs. You get the same process we trust with our own names.
